On 29 February 2008, he joined Milton Keynes Dons FC for a month. On 11 July 2008, he joined Crewe Alexandra FC on a six-month deal, but returned after he fractured his fibula in a friendly match. After recovering, Livermore joined Derby County FC on 10 August 2009. In January 2010, he then joined Peterborough United FC for the remainder of the season. He was recalled to Spurs in March, when he made his Premier League debut. On 23 September 2010, he was loaned to Ipswich Town FC until January, and then on 24 March 2011, he joined Leeds United AFC until the end of the season. His positive test for cocaine followed the death of his newborn child. After recovering and earning his first team status, he was transferred to West Bromwich Albion FC on 20 January 2017 for a £10 million fee. Club Captain during the 2020-21 season. He was released at the end of the 2022-23 season and signed for Watford FC on 21 July 2023.
