Diary
Thursday, 23 September 2004 -
Wales manager, Mark Hughes announces his final 27-man squad for the games
against England and Poland in October. Hughes will step down as manager
following these matches.
Wednesday, 6 October 2004 -
Striker Gareth Taylor and midfielder Andy Johnson have been released from the
Wales squad and returned to their clubs to recover from injury. Neither of
the two were likely to start against England. But their absence further limits manager Mark Hughes'
options, who has already lost Rob Page and Rhys Weston, although they should be
back for the squad against Poland.
