Friday, 27 May
2011 - Ottmar
Hitzfield has announced his squad that will face England at Wembley next week.
The twenty-one man squad includes three youngsters. After the retirement of Alex
Frei and Marco Bellar last month, Hitzfield has also excluded Hakan Yakin.
Phillipe Sendoros returns to the national side for the first time since the 2010
World Cup Finals.

2011 - Reports suggest that Swiss Captain Gökhan
İnler has signed for leading Italina club,
Juventus.
Sky Sport24 suggest that the former Italian champions have agreed on a
four-year contract with the midfielder, whose agent Dino Lamberti has seen to it
that the 26-year-old gets an annual salary of around £2.1 million. It has
also been reported that next week Juve will speak with Udinese over a deal for
Inler, whose current contract with the Udine-based club runs until June 2013.
The deal, though, is made complicated by the fact that Napoli and Udinese had
already reached an agreement for the transfer of the Swiss international to
Naples. Earlier this week Lamberti himself revealed that a fee had been settled
upon, but it appears that Napoli have yet to reach acceptable personal terms
with the player.
Stephan Lichtsteiner is also a Juve target, as well as
Premier League's Manchester City. He has yet to sign for either club, but may
well do before the Swiss take on England next week.
