Lukáš Horníček played in the goal, his second start. Ladislav Krejčí, on the other hand, was not match ready, so defender Vladimír Coufal put on the captain's armband. The first goal came almost immediately after the start of the second half. Matanović stopped the pass with a slide and tapped the ball to Luka Modrić, who guided the ball into the penalty area and gave Horníček no chance with a placed shot. The fifty-fourth minute brought the equalizer.
