England Players and the League
Which
England international players have played prominent roles in securing the game's major prizes throughout history?

Football League Champions
The following is a list of all of the Football League Champions from 1888 to 1992 (when the top 22 clubs in the Football League formed the FA Premier League), together with:

a) every England international to have played in, at least, half of the league games for the club in that season, plus
b) every England international to have been one of the top three league scorers for the club in that season.

Players that did not make their international debuts until after the end of that season are marked red.
Appearances as substitute are marked in brackets in blue, but are included in the total.
