Beyond England |
Armstrong's career was cut short by an
ankle injury. He had ambitions of football management, but his
injuries stopped him playing an active role on the training ground.
Instead, he went into football fundraising and administration and has
worked for many non-league clubs, including Andover, Waterlooville, and
Lymington and New Milton. He also became a soft drinks salesmen, as
well as a director of a stationers supply company. At present, a match
summariser for Southampton FC on Radio Hampshire. -
