After
playing junior football, Barham signed on as a Norwich City FC apprentice
in June 1978, turning professional in April 1980. He played in
177 league matches, scoring 23, before he joined Huddersfield Town
AFC in July 1987 for £25,000. After only 27 league
appearances, with a single goal, Barham then joined Middlesbrough
FC in October 1988, and he played just four league matches in a
Boro shirt. Following a short period at Hythe Town FC, Barham
found himself playing another four league matches for
West Bromwich Albion FC in 1989. But from there, he joined Brighton & Hove
Albion FC, playing in 73 league appearances, scoring three times.
In 1992, he joined Shrewsbury Town FC, scoring once in eight
league appearances. After which, he dropped into the non-league
scene, including Kitchee SC, of Hong Kong, Sittingbourne FC, Southwick FC,
Fakenham Town FC as manager from April 1996 until his resignation in
December 1997, and Mulbarton FC in February 1998. |

minutes are an approximation, due to the fact that many matches rarely stick to exactly ninety minutes long, allowing time for injuries and errors. |
