A Fulham FC trainee, before
signing professionally on 2 July 1998, and despite attracting the interest
of Everton FC and Middlesbrough FC early in his career, he went on to make 155 league
appearances, scoring fourteen times, before he signed for Tottenham Hotspur
FC on 9 July 2004 for an undisclosed fee. But only a return of fifteen
league appearances due to limited opportunities because of injuries saw
him sign for Portsmouth FC in January 2006. After 102 league
appearances, and two goals, Davis eventually joined Bolton Wanderers
FC on 1 July 2009 after his contract expired. But two major injuries had
limited his playing opportunities, making only three Premier League
appearances. He was loaned to Bristol City FC on 24 February 2012
and made another three league appearances. Injuries eventually forced
his retirement on 25 September 2012. |

minutes are an approximation, due to the fact that many matches rarely stick to exactly ninety minutes long, allowing time for injuries and errors. |
