Played schoolboy
football in Watford. He played junior football for local clubs St Stephens
FC, Andre & Sleigh FC, as well as Watford Wednesday FC. He joined St
Albans City FC in 1912 as an amateur. He joined Watford FC the following
season. He guested for Watford FC and Crystal Palace FC during the war.
His success brought about 45 goals in 85
Southern League appearances, and earned a £1500 transfer to
Football League side Wolverhampton Wanderers FC in May 1920. Moved to
Fulham FC in the 1923 summer and in 1926, rejoined Watford FC for £250,
now a Football League club, scoring twelve
goals in 22 league outings. He joined Northfleet United FC in 1927,
where he retired from playing. |
