Fazackerley had a
trial with his hometown club, Preston North End FC, but was rejected. So
he joined Accrington Stanley FC in 1910. Transferred to Hull City AFC for £50
in 1912 and made 29 league appearances, scoring
nineteen goals. His success brought him to the attention of
Sheffield United FC, who paid £1000 for his services. He remained
with United throughout the war, when he joined the Royal Field Artillery,
guesting for Preston North End FC, and then Blackpool FC and Chelsea FC.
Back at United, he completed 105 league
appearances, scoring 43 goals. He joined Everton FC for £4000
in 1920 and scored 21 goals in 51 league
appearances. Two season's later, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC signed
him, and he returned seventy league appearances
with 28 goals. He finished his career with Derby County FC in
1926-27, when he scored twice in three league appearances. |

Coached the Great Britain Olympic Football Team at the 1936 Olympic Games
in Berlin. Later managed Millwall FC during WW2. Only ending after he the
Millwall stadium was damaged during an air raid, with Voisey inside,
sustaining injuries. |
