before joining South Bank East End FC in Middlesbrough, he left to join
Middlesbrough FC in March 1933. Appeared with Blackpool, Notts County,
Wolves and Port Vale as a wartime guest whilst serving with the R.A.F. and
later acted as Middlesbrough's player/coach from March 1949, retiring from
playing in 1951, before leaving the game in 1966. |
