Born 30 October 1913 in Portrack, Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham [registered in Stockton, December 1913].
  According to passenger lists, Mickey was one of many footballers arriving at Southampton on 21 July 1939 from South Africa on board the UCL Athlone Castle. His address was stated as being 6 Elmwood Grove.
According to the 1939 register, Michael is a professional footballer, married to Alfreda, and they are living at 6 Elmwood Grove in Stockton-on-Tees.
Married to Alfreda Davies (b.3 June 1915) [registered in Stockton, June 1937].
Died 5 February 2003 in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, aged 89 years 98 days [registered in Stockton, February 2003].

Club Career

Club(s) Fenton assisted Portrack Shamrocks FC, from Stockton-on-Tees, before joining South Bank East End FC in Middlesbrough, he left to join Middlesbrough FC in March 1933. Appeared with Blackpool, Notts County, Wolves and Port Vale as a wartime guest whilst serving with the R.A.F. and later acted as Middlesbrough's player/coach from March 1949, retiring from playing in 1951, before leaving the game in 1966.
