Began his junior
career West Leigh FC and Wigan Road Villa FC, before joining Wigan Borough
FC where he made six league appearances
between 1922 and 1924. He returned to the non-league scene with Atherton
Collieries FC and Chorley FC. Nottingham Forest FC took him in 1927 and
with them, he made 77 league appearances and
scored five goals. In 1929, when he returned from an FA tour, he
signed for Leicester City FC and proceeded to
make 32 league appearances, scoring once. In 1931, he was with
Dundalk FC, then Drumcondra FC and in 1933, with Wigan Athletic FC, where
he played a final nine league appearances.
Retired from football at FC Lugano. |
