Playing Career

Club(s)
Jenkinson signed as a trainee at Charlton Athletic FC, signing professionally on 1 February 2010. Previous to that, he was loaned to Conference side Welling United FC a month previous. He was then loaned out again the following season in November 2010 to Eastbourne Borough FC, he was recalled after four conference appearances. He went onto play a handful of games for Charlton before securing a dream move to Arsenal FC, the club he supported as a boy, he signed on 8 June 2011 for £1.2 million. He was sent off against Manchester United FC in his second Premier League appearance. On 31 July 2014, Jenkinson joined West Ham United FC on a season-long loan deal. Then, on 14 July 2015, he signed with the Hammers on another season-long loan. Joined Birmingham City FC on loan on 21 August 2017, where a dislocated shoulder curtailed his appearances. He returned to Arsenal FC for the 2018-19 season, and then sold him to Nottingham Forest FC on 7 August 2019 for £2 million. After failing to hold down a place, he was told he could leave in the 2021 summer, but it was not until 19 January 2022 that he left Forest, to join Australian league side, Melbourne City FC, on loan until the end of the season. He scored on his A-League debut on 23 January, making sixteen+three appearances and scoring two goals. He signed with rivals, Newcastle Jets FC in the August, making 28+four appearances with one red card, until his release in the summer. Returned to England, and the EFL, when he signed with Bromley FC on 27 September 2024.
