Abraham, now a coal miner, like his father is the second of our sons still
at home with their parents, now at 73 St. George Street in Smethwick.
Between his attestation on 12 May 1892 and discharge on 31 August
1896, Abraham Jones served with the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders in
Malta and Gibraltar. |

1921. According to the 1921 census,
Abraham, a publican manager in the employment of Charles Darley Brewery,
remains married and with three of their children, including Abraham, now a
professional footballer, they live at The Cricketers Arms, 43 Lower
Trinity Street in West Bromwich. They were still living at this
address when Victoria May married Henry Bate in June 1924. His wife
died in the middle of 1926, followed by his father on 28 July 1929. |
