Club Career |
Club(s) |
Played schoolboy and junior football in Bristol before signing
amateur forms with Bristol Rovers FC. He turned professional in July
1967. After 43 league appearances and one goal and for
50,000 pounds, Lloyd signed for Liverpool FC in April 1969, where
he would make 150 league
appearances, scoring four goals. After which, he was
then sold to Coventry City FC for 225,000 pounds in August 1974,
making another fifty league appearances, scoring another five goals. Lloyd was then
signed on loan by Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest FC in September 1976,
with the deal becoming permanent a month later for 60,000 pounds,
making 148
league appearances, scoring six goals. Loaned to Houston Hurricane of the
NASL in 1978. Became the
player-manager of Wigan Athletic FC in March 1981 until July 1983
for 52 league appearances, and two goals. |
