Played schoolboy and junior football in Bristol before signing
amateur forms with Bristol Rovers FC. He turned professsional in July
1967. After 43 league appeareances and one goal and for
�50,000, Lloyd signed for Liverpool FC in April 1969 (150 league
appearances, four goals). He was
then sold to Coventry City FC for �225,000 in August 1974 (fifty
league appearances, five goals). Lloyd was then
signed on loan by Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest FC in September 1976,
with the deal becoming permenant a month later for �60,000 (148
league appearances, six goals). Loaned to Houston Hurricane of the
NASL in 1978. Became the
player-manager of Wigan Athletic FC in March 1981 until July 1983
(52 league appearances, two goals). |
