Born 29 December 1908 in Clarence Street, Deptford, London [registered in Greenwich, March 1909].

Census Notes

According to the 1911 census, George Robert is the eldest of two sons to Robert and Amy Eliza (née Amos), they live at 63 Hyde Street in Deptford. His father is a general labourer for the South Metropolitan GAs Company, on the Cold Kent Road.

According to the 1939 register, George R. is a police war reserve, married to Ellen, living at 151 Westwood Park in Lewisham, with their son, John R.G.
Married to Ellen Irene Streeton (b.21 November 1907), 12 July 1930 [registered in Camberwell, Surrey, September 1930]. One son, John R.G. (b.8 October 1932)
Died 15 July 1970 in Torbay, Devon, aged 61 years 198 days [registered in Torbay, July 1970]. George was on holiday, he died after playing tennis.
