Ebenezer is a professional footballer for Bristol City FC, and is now
married to Annie. They live at 12 South Street in Bedminster with their
eldest son, Ebenezer, and sister-in-law. At
the time of Francis' baptism on 25 May 1913, they are living at 57 Aubrey
Street. |

Playing Career |
Club(s) |
Owers played
locally for Bashford FC and Leytonstone FC. Joined Leyton FC in 1906. He
moved to Blackpool FC in 1907 where he scored
three goals in nine league appearances. In November 1907, Owers
joined West Bromwich Albion FC for four league
appearances. In January 1909, he joined Chesterfield Town FC and
made another fifteen league appearances,
scoring three goals, and also played with them as they dropped out
of the Football League into the Midlands League. Joined Bristol City FC
in June 1910 and made 62 league appearances,
scoring 32 goals, until he left for Clyde FC in March 1913,
making 24 Scottish League appearances, scoring
nine. He spent the 1913 season on loan at The Celtic FC,
making thirteen Scottish League appearances,
scoring eight. A war wound ended his career. |
