Playing Career


Club(s)
Signed his first professional contract with Cambridge United FC on 3 September 2004 before signing for Everton FC on 20 May 2005 for £250,000. Ruddy then went on to sample eight clubs on loan whilst a Toffee, starting with Walsall FC in September 2005, Rushden & Diamonds FC in November, and Chester City FC in December Then, after a brief return to Goodison Park, Stockport County FC followed in September 2006, Wrexham AFC in February 2007, Bristol City FC in April 2007, and a return to Stockport County FC in February 2008. Then finally, Crewe Alexandra FC in January 2009. A season-long loan to Motherwell FC from 24 July 2009 earned Ruddy 34 SPL appearances. On his return, he signed for Norwich City FC on 5 July 2010, until he signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC on 10 July 2017 on a free transfer. Joined Birmingham City FC on a free transfer on 14 July 2022.
