We are guessing that the one difference
between ourselves and the Football Association's own statistics, is the fact
that they record the abandoned match of
February 1995 against Republic of Ireland as a 1-0 defeat. Whereas we
count it as a scoreless draw, akin to the abandoned match of 1953 against
Argentina.
And although not recorded in these numbers, the FA do
count the two England away matches played on home soil as home matches.AFS had long differed to our own,
but they now accept England Football Online's numbers.
