On 7 March 1891, the ground hosted the Rugby Home Championship, as England
lost 9-3 to Scotland. When it helf the Football equivalent two years
later, it became the first ground to host the two codes of Rugby and
Association Football. There would be ten more Rugby international matches
held here, until 1909. |
