Home club Essentially a rugby ground, used by Old Tonbridgians RFC since 2009, and RFU teams, Richmond FC, since 1889 and London Scottish FC, since 1894.

On 7 March 1891, the ground hosted the Rugby Home Championship, as England lost 9-3 to Scotland. When it helf the Football equivalent two years later, it became the first ground to host the two codes of Rugby and Association Football. There would be ten more Rugby international matches held here, until 1909.
