This
white round-necked long-sleeved shirt, made by Bukta, was first
coupled with navy blue shorts and white,%20Jimmy.bmp) socks, which had a red and a blue hoop
across the tops, sometimes hidden from view (as in the picture right). Then, at the beginning of
the 1964-65 season, the hoops were permanently removed, as the socks
  became plain white.
It was introduced for the F.A.'s Centenary match,
but it was briefly replaced by its predecessor (the v-neck version) at the end
of the season, before returning for the 1964-65 season and then phased out
	before the World Cup.
The shirt pictured above was worn by Gordon
Milne in 1964 and is part of Richard Clarke's 'Three Lions - England Match
	Worn Shirts' Facebook Collection. |
