Diary

Monday, 2 August 2010 - Hungary head coach Sándor Egervári has recalled Fulham midfielder Zoltán Gera for their friendly with England next week. Gera retired from international football last year after being excluded by Erwin Koeman for arriving late to a team meeting.  However, following Koeman's exit last month, Gera is now back in the fold and is set to line up against England at Wembley.  Egervari has attempted to pick a squad based on fitness rather than current form with so many of Europe's leagues yet to begin.  "Lots of championships haven'ten started so I've mainly picked a squad for London based on the players' fitness and not present form," confirmed Egervári.
Along with Gera, Sunderland's Márton
Fülöp, Ákos Buzsáky of QPR and Ipswich striker Tamás Priskin all play their football in England.

Saturday, 7 August 2010 - Ákos Buzsáky picked up an injury yesterday, and his place has gone to Debrecen's Zsolt Laczkó.  Buzsáky suffered an injury in a training session at his club, QPR.  He pulled his thigh after moving badly. The QPR club doctor has told him to take a few days off and rest. This now means that the midfielder cannot be part of next week's friendly match against England at Wembley. Manager Sándor Egervári has decided to bring in Debrecen defender Zsolt Laczkó instead. Laczkó himself has recently been battling with a slight knock, but he has now recovered. He played the entire 90 minutes of Debrecen's match with FC Basel in Wednesday's Champions League game.
