Diary

Wednesday, 25 August 2021 - Marco Rossi has named a 26-man squad for the next round of World Cup 2022 qualification. It is almost identical to the 26-man squad that featured in Euro 2020 in the summer. The additions are the uncapped Sallói Dániel, who has excelled in the MLS, and Tamás Márk, who has impressed in the Polish top tier so far this season. Their are returns also for Szoboszlai Dominik and Gazdag Dániel, who both had to withdraw from the tournament because of injury. The squad will meet up in Telki on Sunday.

Tuesday, 31 August 2021 - Following medical examinations yesterday, it is revealed that there is a injury to Lovrencsics Gergő. He has a partial rupture to one of his ankle ligaments and returned to his club. Marco Rossi has confirmed that there will be no replacement.

Thursday, 2 September 2021 - England's win is tarnished by ugly scenes as missiles such as cans of beer, were thrown onto the pitch, whilst there were more claims of racist chanting towards the Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham, which will be investigated by FIFA. The boos of the supporters received a ringing endorsement by president Victor Orban.

Tuesday, 21 September 2021 - FIFA have imposed a two-game stadium ban and unprecedented £160,000 fine on MLSZ for the racist abuse directed at England players during the recent World Cup qualification match. FIFA have declared that Hungary's next home match must be played behind closed doors with the second game suspended for a probationary period of two years.
Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham were both targeted with racist chanting during the game.
