Monday, 25 August 2014 - Per-Mathias Høgmo has named an initial eighteen man squad, with an additional five or six names to be added after this weekend.

Wednesday, 27 August 2014 - A handful of players named in the above squad are involved in Norway's scoreless draw against United Arab Emirates.

Sunday, 31 August 2014 - A further eight players are added to the squad. It does not include the fifteen year-old Martin Ødegaard, who has been added to the under-21 squad.

Tuesday, 2 September 2014 - Per-Mathias Høgmo has named Per Ciljan Skjelbred as Norway's new captain on Tuesday ahead of the friendly against England. Høgmo knows the midfielder well from his time as coach for Rosenborg FK and from previous matches as Norway coach. Skjelbred takes the captaincy following the retirement of Norway's veteran captain Brede Hangeland.
