Club Career

Club(s) Joined Aston Villa FC as a YTS trainee before making his debut in April 1985 as a seventeen year-old, signing professionally a month later. He went on to play 233 league appearances, scoring 31 times. Daley signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC on 3 June 1994 for £1.25 million, maintaining his constant relationship with Graham Taylor, but having played only twenty-one league games in four years, scoring three times, Daley's career was effectively ended by a cruciate ligament injury in a pre-season match.  Despite this, Daley joined Taylor once more at Watford FC in July 1998 on a free transfer, but Daley never regained fitness, playing only twelve league matches, managing to score once. In June 1999, Daley joined Walsall FC on a free transfer, and his six-month stay earned him seven league appearances. He moved into non-league football with Forest Green Rovers where he played 67 times, scoring six times.
