Gray joined Birmingham City FC Academy in 2006 as an
under-11 from the Cadbury Athletic FC junior team. After completing a
two-year scholarship, Gray progressed to the first team, making his debut
in October 2013, signing his first contract shortly after. After starting
well in 2014-15, Gray was linked with a £½m move to Crystal Palace FC,
which was duly rejected. As well as links to Liverpool FC, Newcastle United FC and
Tottenham Hotspur FC. AFC Bournemouth offered £5m in the January 2015
transfer window, again rejected. Gray eventually transferred to
Leicester City FC for £3.7m on 4 January 2016. Gray signed for Bayer
Leverkusen, of the Bundesliga, on 31 January 2021.
Made five+five Bundesliga appearances, scoring
once, up until his return to the Premier League when Everton FC
signed him on 22 July 2021 for a £1.7million transfer fee. |
