According to the 1901
census, two month-old Kenneth is the youngest of seven children, six of
them boys, to Francis John and Julia. They live at 23 Ellys Road in
Coventry, where his grandmother and aunty also live with them. His father
is a manager at the cycle gear case works. |

According to the 1911
census, Kenneth has one more younger brother and the eight children remain
with their parents at 28 Widdrington Road in Coventry. His father is still
the manager. |

According to the 1921 census,
Kenneth Edward is a lieutenant in the First Royal Dublin Dusiliers and
based at Tournay Barracks on Rectory Road in Farnborough. |

According to the Coventry Electoral Registers, in
1926, he was at The Rookeries in Hanworth Park, and from 1927-30, Kenneth
was registered at 2/4 Widdrington Road.
According to Passenger Lists, Kenneth and his wife, Eveline, were on
the Tuscania, leaving Liverpool on 12 October 1937, destined for Port Said
in Egypt and Bombay, India. He is stated as being an Army Officer According to the 1939 register, Eveline Hegan, still married, is visiting
the Le Gowran's at 30 Christ Church Road in Coventry. Kenneth cannot be
found. |

Played for
the Royal MIlitary College football team, and played with the Corinthians
FC from 1919, and also played with the Army, which until mid-1922, was
with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, they were disbanded in July 1922. Also
played with Collyhurst United in 1921. Following the dissolving of Dublin,
Hegan was with the Royal Army Service Corps. Played his final Corinthians'
game in the 1933 in Denmark, having scored fifty goals in 167
matches. |
