Played junior football with the Great Danes YFC and Senrab FC. He signed professionally for
Charlton Athletic FC on 24 May 1998 from YTS. Loaned to Tottenham
Hotspur FC from September to December 2003, playing in twelve
Premiership matches. After 149 League appearances for Charlton,
scoring five times, he signed for West Ham
United FC, 5 July 2005 for �1.5 million (59 league appearances, two
goals). Joined Fulham FC for �3.25
million on 13 July 2007 (97 league appearances, two goals). On 31
August 2010, Konchesky signed for Liverpool FC for a near �4 million fee.
After only 15 Premiership matches, Konchesky fell out with his
manager and was loaned out to Nottingham Forest FC in January 2011, where
he made 15 league appearances, scoring once. On 13 July 2011, he was
sold to Leicester City FC and he was an ever-present in the 2011-12 season
(42 league appearances, two goals). |
