Played junior football with the Great Danes YFC and Senrab FC. He signed professionally for
Charlton Athletic FC on 24 May 1998 from YTS. Loaned to Tottenham
Hotspur FC from September to December 2003, playing in twelve
Premier League matches. After 149 League appearances for Charlton,
scoring five times, he signed for West Ham
United FC, 5 July 2005 for £1.5 million and made a further 59
Premier League appearances, scoring two goals. Joined Fulham FC for £3.25
million on 13 July 2007 and made another 97 Premier League appearances,
again, scoring twice. On 31
August 2010, Konchesky signed for Liverpool FC for a near £4 million fee.
After only 15 Premier League matches, Konchesky fell out with his
manager and was loaned out to Nottingham Forest FC in January 2011, where
he made 15 Championship appearances, scoring once. On 13 July 2011, he
was sold to Leicester City FC and made 138 league appearances,
scoring five goals. On 5 August 2015, signed a season-long loan
deal with Queen's Park Rangers FC,
making 34 Championship appearances. On 21 July 2016,
Konchesky was freed to Gillingham FC. He completed 25 League One appearances
before on 1 March 2017, he joined Billericay Town FC, making ten
Isthmian League Premier appearances before the end of the season. |
