Club Career

Club(s) Began as a trainee at the academies of Arsenal FC and West Ham United FC before signing as a trainee with Charlton Athletic FC on 13 March 2006.  After becoming the club's youngest debutant and playing in 41 league matches, scoring seven goals. Shelvey signed for Liverpool FC in May 2010 for £1.7 million. After making his red's debut, he was loaned to Blackpool FC on 30 September 2011. He went onto play in ten league matches, scoring six, before being recalled at the end of November. Shelvey went on to complete 47 Premiership appearances, scoring twice, before he was sold to Swansea City FC on 3 July 2013 for £5 million.

Distinctions Jonjo Shelvey is the youngest player ever to appear in the Charlton Athletic FC first team at 16 years old and 59 days against Barnsley FC in April 2008. A record previously held by Paul Konchesky since 1997.
