Full name Frank Richard George Lampard
Born 20 September 1948 in West Ham, Essex [registered as Frank R.G., in East Ham, Essex, December 1948]. To Frank Richard Lampard and Hilda D. Stiles.
Attended Pretoris Road Secondary Modern in Canning Town.
Married to Patricia A. Harris [registered in Barking, Essex, June 1969]. Three children, Natalie, Claire and Frank. Patricia died on 24 April 2008, following complications with pneumonia.
Redknapp/Lampard connection The Redknapp's and the Lampard's are only related by marriage, and that was down to the Harris family.  Sandra E. married Henry J. (Harry) in the summer of 1968 in Barking. A year later, Patricia Ann married Frank a year later. Sandra had Jamie in 1973, Pat and Frank gave us Frank junior five years later, thus becoming cousins.
Height/Weight 5' 10", 12st. 11lbs [1972].

Club Career

Club(s) Began playing schoolboy football in East London, before signing as an apprentice with West Ham United FC in July 1964, turning professional in September 1965. He remained at Upton Park for the next twenty years, becoming a stalwart figure in the Hammers defence. He played in 551 league matches and scored eighteen goals. He joined Southend United FC in the summer of 1985 as a player-coach, he played in 34 league matches, scoring once, until his retirement in February 1986.

Beyond England

After retiring from playing, Lampard returned to Upton Park in 1994, where he became assistant manager for his brother-in-law, Harry Redknapp, a position held until 2001. In November 2008, Lampard then consukted for Brendan Rodgers at Watford FC, and followed him to Reading FC.
