Club Career

Club(s) Played for Hackney Schools before joined West Ham United FC as an amateur, playing for the Alexander Boys Club. Joined Fulham FC in October 1962, and after 22 goals in 63 league appearances, Queen's Park Rangers FC signed Rodney in March 1966 for £15,000, and because of his 106 goals in 211 league appearances,  Manchester City FC signed him in March 1972 for a record £200,000 transfer fee and he completed another 118 league matches, scoring 36. Cork Hibernian grabbed Marsh on 29 January 1976 (three appearances, one goal), before he joined the NASL in January 1976 when Tampa Bay Rowdies signed him for £45,000, under the noses of Los Angeles Aztecs. He rejoined Fulham FC on loan from August 1976 until February 1977 (sixteen league appearances, three goals). He retired from playing in September 1979 (110 Tampa Bay appearances, 53 goals). In 1986, Marsh played with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the AISA. Thirteen goals in twenty games.

After retiring from playing, Marsh continued in the ASL to manage New York United FC, and Carolina Lightin', before returning to the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
