Club Career

Club(s) Signed professionally with Arsenal FC from a trainee on 6 March 1991. He made 339 league appearances (333 in the Premier League_ and scored 22 goals, before he signed for Middlesbrough FC on 23 July 2004 on a free transfer. Released from his Boro contract on 25 January 2007 after 36 Premier League appearances, and after training again with Arsenal FC to regain fitness, he joined Hull City AFC on 9 February 2007, until the end of the season; He made fifteen Championship appearances, helping the Tigers avoid relegation. He was released from his contract and he retired from playing.
He did come out of retirement in 2012 to help Wembley FC in their FA Cup campaign.
