transfer deadline day, 15 March 1951, despite the two clubs agreeing
terms, and then refused to be transfered to David Jack's Middlesbrough
FC on 29 February 1952. At the end of 1954, Wolves again used Pye in a
deal to sign Harold Hassall from Bolton Wanderers FC. Those negotiations
also broke down. |
