living at 28 North Hedley Street in the Deptford area of Sunderland with
their parents. His father remains as a riveter. According to Trade
Union membership registers, Charlie became a paid-up member of the
Amalgamated Society of Carpenters & Joiners on 5 March 1901. |

football in Sunderland before joining Southwick FC, from where he joined
the newly formed Crystal Palace FC in 1905.
After 56 Southern League appearances and thirteen goals, he signed for Aston Villa FC in
May 1907, making 313 league appearances,
scoring 55 goals. Oldham Athletic FC signed Wallace in May 1921, where he played
until he retired in 1923. |
