  • In the World Cup finals matches, England wore the FRANCE 2019 logo on the right sleeve and the LIVING FOOTBALL FIFA logo (in green) on the left sleeve.

Captains

11 - Steph Houghton

6 - Leah Williamson

4 - Millie Bright

2 - Jill Scott

1 - Lucy Bronze, Ellen White

  • Houghton was England's captain for the second successive World Cup finals tournament, reaching the semi-finals in both.

  • Bright and Williamson each captained England for the first time, in this shirt.

England's women were given their own bespoke design for the 2019 World Cup, for the first time since the Football Association had taken over the running of the women's game in 1993 (aside from a different neckline on the 2003 white shirt).

It was a smart all-white affair, edged in red and maroon, using the same fonts for names and numbers as on the men's kit. England went to France for the World Cup, where another glorious run to the semi-finals was ended by the Americans on a dramatic night in Lyon.
