Squad details correct up to
and including Finland's match against Greece on 7 October 2000.
Diary
Monday, 2 October 2000 -
Finnish coach Antti Muurinen named his 18-man squad that will face Greece and
England in World Cup qualifying matches, making few changes to the side which
beat Albania 2-1 last month. Muurinen's four strikers remain the same but he
added Stockport County's Jarkko Wiss in midfield and Genk's Juha Reini to fill
in for suspended defender Janne Saarinen. Barcelona's Jari Litmanen will again
orchestrate the midfield and Liverpool's Sami Hyypia
will anchor the defence against Greece in Athens on Saturday and England in
Helsinki on October 11.
