May 2000 - Kevin Keegan
names a 28-man squad for the friendly matches at Wembley Stadium
against Brazil and the Ukraine.
It serves as the provisional European Championship squad.
Friday, 19 May 2000 -
Keegan has called up Malcolm Crosby, the Swindon Town FC
manager, to be a scout for the England team during the upcoming Euro
2000. He joins Nigel Spackman, Kenny Swain and Mike Pejic.
Sunday, 21 May
2000 - Jason Wilcox withdraws from the
squad because he requires knee surgery. He is replaced with Aston Villa's
teenage prodigy, Gareth Barry, who has been promoted from the under-21
squad.
