After a
year at Abbeytown FC juniors, Branthwaite joined
Carlisle United FC Academy as a nine year old, and as he made the breakthrough to the
first team, he was signed by Everton FC on 13 January 2020. Without making
any league appearances, he was loaned out to Blackburn Rovers FC on 14
January 2021 for the remainder of the season, but ended with an ankle
injury on 14 April. He returned to Goodison and remained until he was sent
out on loan again, on 17 July 2022, to Eredivisie side, PSV, for the
season. He scored two in 21+six league appearances, He
returned to Everton FC for the 2023-24 season. On 8 July 2024, Manchester
United FC made a £45 million bid for Branthwaite, and a second bid
was soon after rejected also. |
