retiring, joined the Newcastle United FC coaching staff as an assistant
trainer. However, in early 1920... "Jack
Carr, the old Newcastle back, who has been assistant trainer to the St.
James Park club, has gone to Sweden as a coach to the Gothenburg club" Then he was the
successful candidate out of eighty to be appointed player-manager of Blackburn
Rovers FC on 17 February 1922. Appointed secretary-manager from 1 October 1925,
following the death of Robert Middleton. He
resigned on 22 December 1926. |
