MOST PL HEADED GOALS 53
Spent his junior career playing for Northolt Hotspurs FC, and was a member of the Brentford FC Centre of Excellence. He also played with West Middlesex Colts FC. He turned down offers to join Chelsea FC and Millwall FC to join the youth set up at Queen's Park Rangers FC in the 1994 summer. However, in November 1994, the coaching team at QPR, including Crouch, moved to Tottenham Hotspur FC, where Crouch signed professionally on 2 July 1998, during which time he spent time on loan to non-league Dulwich Hamlet FC, scoring once in six Isthmian League appearances, and IFK Hässleholm in the Swedish second division, three in eight. He was released to Queen's Park Rangers FC on 28 July 2000 for £60,000, and after 42 league appearances, in which he scored ten goals, he signed for Portsmouth FC on 11 July 2001 for £1,250,000, where another 37 league appearances followed and another eighteen goals, then onto Aston Villa FC, less than a year later for £4 million+, on 28 March 2002. Crouch spent time on loan to Norwich City FC on 8 September 2003, he scored four goals in fifteen league appearances. After 37 Premier League Villa appearances, and six goals, he returned to the south coast to join Southampton FC on 8 June 2004 for £2 million, scoring twelve in 27 Premier League outings. Following his full international debut, Crouch joined Liverpool FC for £7 million on 20 July 2005. He appeared 85 times in the Premier League, with a return of 22 goals. Rejoined Portsmouth FC on 11 July 2008 for a fee worth up to £11 million. After another 38 Premier League appearances and eleven goals, Crouch rejoined his first club, Tottenham Hotspur FC on 27 July 2009 - for a fee in the region of £10 million.  After struggling to hold down a regular first team slot, scoring twelve in 72 Premier League appearances, Crouch joined Stoke City AFC on transfer deadline day, 31 August 2011. He has scored 45 goals in 202 Premier League appearances up until 2017-18, when his side were relegated. On transfer deadine day, 31 January 2019, Crouch was invited back to the Premier League, despite being 38 years old, when Burnley FC signed him on a six-month contract.
