Club Career |
Club(s) |
Joined Arsenal FC in May 1982, turning professional in December
1984, he played 228 League appearances, scoring 23 goals.
League Champions, Leeds United AFC, paid a record fee two million pounds,
but he made just 25 Premier League appearances, scoring just
twice. Joined Manchester City FC in December 1993 for two million
pounds, and scored twice in 21 Premier League appearances.
His unsussessful stint was ended when Chelsea FC signed Rocky in August
1994 for 1.25 million pounds and he made a further 29 Premier
League appearances that was hampered by injuries. In the 1996
summer, he had trials with Hertha, Berliner SC, Aberdeen FC and Southampton
FC, before he was loaned to First Division side Norwich City FC
for eleven league appearances. In 1997, he dropped into the Third
Division when loaned to Hull City FC, where he scored once in
eleven league appearances. He spent the 1998 summer in Malaysia,
playing with Sabah FC. Injury forced his retirement in December 1999. |
