Squad details correct up to
and including Germany's match against Italy on 4 June 2022. Tallies taken from DFB
Diary
Thursday, 19 May 2022 - Teams will be
again allowed to
select a 26-player squad instead of 23 at this summer's delayed Nations
League competition. The German Head Coach, Hansi Flick, has done exactly
that. Joshua Kimmich, Lukas Klostermann, Niklas Süle, Leon Goretkza, Jonas Hofmann and
Marco Reud all return after missing out on the last March squad. Oliver
Baumann has also been recalled. Flick announced two weeks ago that
goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen would be left out.
Tuesday-Friday, 24-27 May 2022 -
The German party arrive and train at their summer camp location in Marbella.
Monday, 30 May 2022
- The squad arrive at in Home Ground in Herzogenaurach, the home of Adidas
and also the German base during Euro 2020 last summer. Marco Reus has not
travelled as he is poorly.
Saturday, 4 June 2022 - Italy 1
Germany 1
- Germany remain unbeaten in eleven matches as they snatch a draw in
Bologna thanks to an equalising goal from Joshua Kimmich, replying to
Lorenzo Pellegrini's opening goal three minutes earlier. Marco Reus
arrived at training camp and will undergo training sessions from tomorrow.
