Diary

Tuesday, 28 September 2018 - Zlato Dalić has announced his 26-man squad for the matches against England and Jordan next month, both to be played in Rijeka. The squad will meet up on 8th October.

Tuesday, 2 October 2018 - HNS have announced that the national team will play a friendly match on 9 October against NK Bjelovar, as part of its 110th birthday celebrations. The match will be played at 4pm. Then three days later, Croatia face England in a match that will only be played in front of the media, as the remainder of UEFA's punishment is played out, after a swastika was found on the pitch in a match against Italy in 2015.

Monday, 8 October 2018 - As the squad gathers together in Zagreb, Dalić has a number of injury concerns and has called up 23-year-old Karlo Bartolec from Danish club Nordsjælland to join the squad, as cover for Šime Vrsaljko. "Brozović because of injury did not play for Inter yesterday and we will see today his condition. Barišić has a ruptured muscle and will not likely be in contention for the match, whilst Santini had some cuts on his leg. Vrsaljko played yesterday but we will see how his knee reacts and maybe he will need a break so we may send him back to Inter and let him use the break to rest and recover. We have an option with Vida and Jedvaj at right back and I still have not given up with the option of Rog, I think with this skill and running he could play there. Lovre Kalinić had a scan which did not show any injuries but if there are problems we will call up Sluga from Rijeka." Dalić said.

Tuesday, 9 October 2018 - On day two of training, there are many more withdrawals. Šime Vrsaljko has left to be replaced with Rijeka's Simon Sluga. Also leaving the Zagreb training camp is Marcelo Brozović, Lovre Kalinić, Duje Ćop and Borna Baršić.
The friendly anniversary match against NK Bjelovar ends in a 15-1 victory to the National Team. Andrej Kramarić scores five of the goals, while Marko Livaja scores three. Ivan Perisic scored twice, while there was one each for Ivan Rakitić, Ante Rebić, Tin Jedvaj, Milan Badelj and Mario Pašalić.
