Playing Career |

Began his career with Bewdley Victoria before joining Stourbridge
FC. He joined Aston Villa FC for a £100
transfer fee in December 1900. He later became the Villa captain and
scored 167 goals in 431 league appearances. He made a war-time
guest appearance with Notts County FC. He joined Mid-Rhondda FC as
player-manager in August 1920 and then Grimsby Town FC as player-coach
on 20 July 1920 to 1921, he played in five league matches, scoring
once. After which he became a coach in Germany for four years,
including a spell with Mannheim FC from October 1924. |

as a boiler maker. After returning from Rot Weiss in Frankfurt, Germany,
Bache rejoined Aston Villa FC as their second-team coach in August 1927
until July 1928. He was later employed as a licensee in Aston. -
