Birth 10 September 1930 at 25 Delvers Street, Johannesburg, Gauteng, Transvaal, South Africa [registered in Johannesburg, 16 September 1930]. To Arthur William Armitt (aka Thomas) and Jessie Mary (née Soudom). Arrived in England on 28 October 1949.
 

According to Passenger Lists, William Perry was on board the UCM Edinburgh Castle that had left Durban, arriving in Southampton on 28 October 1949.

Marriage to Jean Heywood [registered in Blackpool, June 1953].
Death 27 September 2007 in Blackpool, Lancashire, aged 77 years 17 days, of a heart-attack. Also fighting bowel cancer.
Funeral Buried in Lytham Park Cemetery, Lytham St. Annes
