Description
Dark-raisin short-sleeved crew-neck shirt, with seven-coloured, St George Cross-themed, abstract-patterned, side-stream panels of diagonal stripes, and rectangular and pointed blocks, narrowing up to the armpits. Colours are dark raisin, sesame, Blue Void, pale blue, mauve, maroon and dark gold. Dark-raisin emblem on left breast, with sesame lions and a dark-raisin star above the emblem. The opponent's name in capitalised sesame lettering below the emblem and the date in sesame below the opponent's name (e.g. 03.06.24). Sesame Swoosh on right breast, and sesame number on chest and back of shirt in same three-dimensional font as on white kit, with dark-raisin sides, bordered in sesame. Small dark-raisin emblem at base of each digit on back. Sesame surname on back above the number, in same (two-dimensional) font as on white shirt. Rectangular black label on left hip. ENGINEERED in large gold capitalised letters, occupying two-thirds of the upper left-hand side of the label and bordered in gold. Remaining third comprises a gold flower logo. Two gold lines underneath above a ten-character serial number in gold. DRI-FIT ADV in capitalised pure-platinum lettering on right hip on the back of the shirt.

Dark-raisin shorts, with a dark-raisin drawstring and a continuation of the six-coloured side-stream shirt panels down the seams, narrowing down to the hem. Sesame number on left thigh, in same font as on the shirt, with dark-raisin sides, bordered in sesame, and sesame Swoosh below it. Dark-raisin emblem on right thigh, with sesame lions.

Dark-raisin socks, with a Sesame Swoosh on the front of the shin.
Multi-coloured St George's Cross on back of calf, consisting of six different colours, pale blue, mauve and maroon in horizontal lines, and sesame, dark gold and Blue Void in vertical lines, with both sets of lines converging on a point in the middle of the cross, and the order of the three colours reversed in the opposite half of both the horizontal and vertical sets of lines. Pure-platinum stripes along the heels, soles and sides of the feet, reaching a point across the middle of the top of the sock from the left instep and behind it from the right. LEFT (or RIGHT) | (abbreviation for size e.g. SM for small, MD for medium, LG for large) in sesame capitalised lettering across the toes.
Men's
Variations
  • The names of England's opponents, as they appeared beneath the emblem, were BELGIUM and BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA.
  • Against Belgium, England wore the Alzheimer's Society logo on the right sleeve, and the players did not wear names on the back of their shirts in the second half. This had also been done in a game against Switzerland, two years earlier, and was designed to raise awareness of the fact that sufferers typically forget names.

A startling new design was introduced for Euro 2024 in dark raisin and sesame, or to the uninitiated, purple and gold. The most striking element was the large multi-coloured panel down the sides which was a 'playful' abstraction of the multi-coloured St George's Cross that appeared on the back of the calf.

By converging the men's and women's kits into one design for the first time since they went their separate ways in 2019, it meant that the women's blue kit, worn in the World Cup semi-final and final, was retired after just five months of action, whilst the men's red kit was only worn twice in just over twelve months.

There were the usual queries as to why it wasn't red, but Nike were continuing their policy of experimenting with the away colours in European Championship years and reverting to red in each World Cup year, though neither of the two previous men's away kits had been worn in a major competition. The motivation for making this kit all-dark-raisin was because it's a combination of red and blue, the two colours synonymous with England away kits over the past decade.

Details of the socks are listed above, but most players did not wear the full sock. Instead, the footings were removed and they wore short white Nike grip-socks on their feet, with what had become, overlapping cut-off sleeve-socks to cover their calves and shin pads. Against Belgium, it appeared that Ben Chilwell was the only player to wear the traditional full socks, and Conor Gallagher was the only one against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The kit was worn for the first time by the Under-18s in a 2-1 victory against the Czech Republic at Pinatar in Spain on 20 March 2024.

To buy the authentic player's shirt cost 124.99, with a 'Stadium' adult replica coming in at 84.99, and 64.99 for older kids' 'Stadium' replicas.
