Diary

Tuesday, 22 August 2017 - Coach Ján Kozák announces his 24-man squad.

Wednesday, 30 August 2017 - Matúš Kozáčik had surgery on his right knee twice during the summer that forced him to miss the June matches. Kozáčik worked his way back to fitness and was picked in Kozák's squad for the September qualifiers. However, when Matúš arrived for training on Monday, a niggle in his knee was investigated, showing problems with his spine, not his knee. He has been ordered to take five days rest and has returned to his club. The experienced Ján Novota has been called up from the reserves as his replacement.

Friday, 1 September 2017 - Slovakia remain second in Group F as a single Nemec goal is enough to give them victory over Slovenia.
