Diary

Tuesday, 12 March 2019 - Czech Republic's coach Jaroslav Šilhavý has announced his squad to take on England and then Brazil. Patrick Schick returns after injury. Alex Král is the only newcomer to the team.

Monday, 18 March 2019 - Vladimír Darida, Martin Frýdek and Milan Škoda have received an invitation to join the Czech squad. Jaroslav Šilhavý announced the last three vacancies to his squad just before todays press conference. "Vladimír Darida is the long-term leader of our team, and it was up to him whether he could heal the wound. Martin Frýdek has shown good performances in Sparta. And Milan Škoda is thriving in the Champions League." Darida, now the most experienced player in the squad, had missed three matches in the Bundesliga because of a thigh injury, but returned to training last week. Tomáš Vaclík is doubtful and is being examined by the team doctors today.

Tuesday, 19 March 2019 - Tomáš Vaclík has been forced to withdraw from the squad because of a stomach injury. The goalkeeper's place will be taken by Slavia's Ondřej Kolář, who has already reported this morning to the teams headquarters at the Don Giovanni Hotel in Prague.

Thursday, 21 March 2019 - The Czech Republic squad have arrived in London to participate in further training ahead of tomorrow night's clash. Dočkal will miss the match against England because he is carrying a calf injury.
