Bailey, of Derby, and Miss Minnie Dorothy Smith, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Smith, of Hazelwood and Derby. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in her dress of white satin, with its square-cut train and trimmings of beautiful lace and roses. She wore a veil and orange blossoms, and her bouquet was of white heather and roses. She was attended by two bridesmaids, her sister, Miss Gladys Smith, and the bridegroom's sister, Miss Lily Bailey. They were dressed alike in white silk crepe, patterned with old-fashioned blue sprigs, sashes and hats of pastel blue, and carried bouquets of corresponding colour. Each wore a gold bangle, the bridegroom's gift. Mr. Edmund Ashley acted as groomsman. The bride's mother was handsomely gowned in green and gold shot satin, with gold trimmings, and her bouquet was of yellow roses. The mother of the bridegroom wore black and silver silk brocade, draped with old Spanish lace scarf. Pink carnations formed her bouquet. The wedding breakfast was served at the country house of the bride's parents, the members of the two families forming the party. The honeymoon is being spent on the North Yorkshire coast."
