Club Career

Club(s) Played schoolboy football in Woodford and junior level in Woodford Green. Played with the RAF during his wartime service, representing his command. After the war, he was turning out for Lovell's Point FC until Tottenham Hotspur FC signed him for £1000 in March 1949. He remained for a decade, making 295 league appearances, scoring four goals, before returning to Wales who became the player-manager at Llanelly FC in February 1959 until his retirement in 1962.
